Day 13: Stop Giving Discounts

“Once you learn how much you’re worth, you’ll stop giving people discounts.” ~Everybody

Ouch! That quote alone is enough to really get you to thinking huh? If you find yourself in a situationship and you realize that you aren’t being treated with love and respect, then it’s time for you to check your price tag love! Maybe you have marked yourself down! When you know AND are confident in your worth, you will stop giving people discounts.

So what does a discount look like? It is when you allow someone to treat you like an option instead of a priority, to disrespect you instead of holding you with the highest regards, OR when you let them “hit it” and they didn’t put in work in to get “it” in the first place. (Yeah I said it.) But know that it’s YOU who determines your worth. Therefore, you decide how you’re treated. It’s time for you to get off of the clearance rack and get behind the glass where they keep the valuables.

This means that when someone treats you like an option, you help them narrow their choices by removing yourself from the equation. If someone is disrespecting you, you speak up for yourself and demand the respect that you deserve. If someone is only trying to get into your pants, you put them in their place and let them know what kind of woman you are. That person no longer gets to be a part of your life without paying full price for you! If they don’t treat you like the valuable woman/man that you are then tell then it’s time for them to move ALL the way around!!!

#KnowYourWorthChallenge: I’m sure as you were reading today’s topic someone popped up in your head. I’d be lying if I said a COUPLE of people didn’t pop up in my head when I was writing this topic lol. If you had a name pop up, then it may be time for you to meditate on that. Consider if that person is paying full price for you or if they are getting the full value of you in their life at a discounted price! PRAY about that name and ask God to reveal to you anything within that situation that may be causing you to diminish your value.
